Raising a Jewish child can be hard. Many of us don't feel able to give our kids a sense of Jewish identity. That's why we started Hand in Hand, a monthly program for Jewish children from birth to age nine and their parents to share Jewish experiences together in a setting that's fun and friendly. All are welcome--Jewish families, intermarried families, synagogue members and non-members.

Hand in Hand puts the fun part of being Jewish at the center. It's the joy of making a challah, learning how to spin a dreidle, and singing Jewish songs that makes kids feel good about being Jewish. When parents and children learn together, the whole family learns ways of bringing a meaningful Judaism into their home life.

Hand in Hand families are divided into two age groups.  Families with children from birth to five years old meet in our "Rishonim" group (Hebrew for "First Ones").  Families with children ages five to ten years old meet in our "Gedolim" group (Hebrew for "Big Ones").  In addition, Gedolim students meet weekly in our Aleph Bet after-school Hebrew program.
