Gameilim (Hebrew for "Mature Ones") is our youth group for youth 12-15 years old. In this group, teens who will soon celebrate their B'nei Mitzvah join with those who have recently done so to explore their Jewish identity after this major lifecycle event.

We hold activities at least once a month during the school year, some jointly with youth from other nearby congregations. Our activities in recent years have included:

- Taking trips to Boston and New York City
- Welcoming Shabbat with sledding and dinner
- Attending a Michael Franti concert filled with songs of peace and tolerance
- Taking hikes to enjoy the natural world
- Viewing movies with Jewish themes
- Serving lunch at the Berkshire Food project

Through these experiences our youth are learning to live and grow as Jews and having fun in the process. Our emphasis is on being active both within and outside the synagogue and learning by doing, rather than only by studying.
